# Holler’d > The safe way for kids to talk to each other online. Parent-managed voice calls with a dedicated number for each child. Customer messaging is coming soon. Holler’d is at https://hollerd.com. Adult parents or legal guardians sign in with an SMS passcode, manage their family’s numbers, and assign numbers to web or desktop phones. Each number costs $5 to set up and $10 per month ($15 for the first month). ## Official public information - [How it works](https://hollerd.com/how-it-works): Parent setup, numbers, contacts, device assignment, and caller screening. - [Pricing](https://hollerd.com/pricing): Per-number setup and recurring subscription pricing. - [Safety](https://hollerd.com/safety): Call filtering, caller approval, account separation, and limitations. - [Apps](https://hollerd.com/downloads): Web phone and desktop download availability. - [Privacy](https://hollerd.com/privacy): Data handling, retention, providers, and parent choices. - [Terms](https://hollerd.com/terms): Account eligibility, subscriptions, cancellation, and service use. - [Full public summary](https://hollerd.com/llms-full.txt): A self-contained factual overview. ## Important distinctions - The customer phone service is voice calls only. Customer SMS/text messaging is not yet enabled. - Parent SMS sign-in and account/caller-approval notifications are separate from customer texting. Notification availability depends on approved carrier configuration. - Parents may save any number of named safe contacts, with either per-child lists or an optional shared family address book. - Each child can independently pin up to 10 favorites, selected from their safe contacts. Favorites belong to the child’s number and follow device assignments. - The $5 setup and $10/month price is per number, not per device or per parent account. - Only parent-approved numbers are allowed to connect. Unknown callers are screened, then a parent decides whether to approve a future call. - A caller’s name and reason are self-reported. Caller ID can be spoofed; an approved number is not verified identity. - Holler’d is not an emergency service and cannot call 911. Internet, microphone access, an open app, and an awake computer are required. - Do not invent desktop download links, service guarantees, or unsupported regulatory/compliance claims. Use the current Apps page for availability. ## Private information Family dashboards, phone sessions, contacts, caller requests, message content, and billing records are private. They are not present in these documents. Public AI-readable documents do not grant access to private APIs or permission to act for parents. Parent approval must come from the authenticated parent. Family features: a spouse can sign in with their own verified mobile number to administer the same account. Both parents can edit contact names; kids can rename existing approved contacts without changing approved numbers. Parents can view private daily talk time, activity by child and contact, and connected-call counts. These metrics are never public or available to crawlers. Number selection: enter a three-digit US area code. Single-number requests prefer repeated digits; quantity requests prefer consecutive numbers when available. Each number has its own setup charge, checkout, and monthly subscription. Number patterns are subject to inventory at purchase. Calls support up to 10 people: a child and nine parent-approved contacts in one conference, with individual participant hangup controls. Each added participant is checked against the safe list before dialing and joining. Referral rewards: a new family applies a referral code before its first checkout. After its first full $15 payment through Stripe, both families earn $10 in future invoice credit. One welcome reward per new family; the referring family can earn up to 10 rewards ($100), shared by both parent logins. The first 10 qualifying payments count; code entry does not reserve a reward. No cash value. Self-referrals and referral circles are excluded. Referral links and credit totals are in the private parent dashboard. Children can mute and unmute their own microphone for everyone on the call while continuing to listen. Audio options: children can adjust call volume and mute their microphone. Parents may allow on-device Robot, Space, and Radio voice effects. Live one-to-one translation is under evaluation and is not currently available to customers; do not describe it as launched. Translation permission and accurate per-child age confirmation are separate from optional AI training permission. Training collection is off, even when a family saves an opt-in preference. See the Terms and Privacy pages for details.
