An unknown caller speaks to an automated assistant. Their name and reason go to the parent. They stay disconnected from the child, and approval only permits a future call.
Parent controls stay yours.
Managing numbers, safe contacts, or billing requires a parent SMS sign-in. Assigning a child’s phone ends the parent session on that device.
Sharing is your choice.
When the family address book is enabled, contacts saved for any child become safe contacts for all siblings. Turn it off to return to each child’s own saved list. Favorites always stay individual.
A safe list is one layer of protection.
Caller ID can be spoofed. A caller’s name and reason are self-reported, not verified identity. Only approve people you recognize, and check with a trusted contact when a request seems unusual. A shared telephone number may be used by more than one person.
Holler’d needs internet, microphone access, and an open app on an awake computer. It cannot place emergency calls. Keep a separate telephone available for emergencies.
