A few ground rules.

Effective September 10, 2026

Who can create an account

You must be an adult parent or legal guardian to create an account, purchase a number, or manage children’s access. You are responsible for deciding who belongs in the safe contact list and for keeping your mobile number and sign-in codes secure. By creating an account, you authorize processing needed to provide the service for the children you supervise.

Price and recurring billing

Each number costs $5 to set up plus $10 per month: $15 for the first month and $10 per month after that. Each number has a separate subscription. Recurring charges continue until you cancel future renewals in the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation at the end of a billing period keeps access through the paid period. A payment failure or ended subscription can suspend service. Refund requests are reviewed through support.

Invite a family: $10 for each of you

A new family must apply an existing family’s referral code before starting its first checkout, then pay the full $15 initial invoice through Stripe. Both families receive $10 in account credit after that payment. Credit applies automatically to future invoices and is not cash, a refund, or a discount on the qualifying payment. Unused credit carries forward on the billing account.

Each family may receive one welcome referral reward and earn rewards for referring up to 10 other families ($100). Both parents share the same family limit. The first 10 qualifying payments count; applying a code does not reserve a reward spot. Self-referrals, referral circles, duplicate family accounts, and fraudulent payments are not eligible. Invite people you know; do not send unsolicited bulk invitations. Contact support for questions about missing credit.

Availability and number assignment

Numbers are subject to carrier availability in your preferred US area code. A number is assigned after successful payment and carrier provisioning. If provisioning cannot be completed, contact support for resolution or a refund. Internet access, a compatible browser or desktop, microphone permission, and an open app are required. Computer sleep, connectivity loss, or provider outages may interrupt calls. Calls are limited to one hour per session.

This is not an emergency telephone

Holler’d cannot call 911 or other emergency services and is not a replacement for a regular telephone. Always maintain another way to contact emergency services.

Approved contacts and screening

The safe list filters presented telephone numbers. Caller ID can be spoofed, and a screening introduction does not verify identity. Approve only callers you recognize. Shared contacts are available to all numbers in the family when sharing is enabled. Screening does not allow an unknown caller to speak to a child before approval.

Conference calls and contact names

A child can add up to nine approved contacts to a call and hang up individual participants. Every participant must be in the applicable safe list. Children and parents may edit contact names; parents control which phone numbers are approved. A child can mute their own microphone while continuing to listen.

Optional voice effects and translation

Parents choose whether each child may use voice effects or live translation. Children can switch allowed features off at any time. Translation is for one-to-one calls and stops during conferences. Voice effects pause while translating. Preview translation is limited to 10 minutes per session and 30 minutes per day per number; normal calling may continue afterward.

Where translation requires an age confirmation, you separately confirm that the child is at least 13 or the higher applicable age of digital consent. Your statement must be accurate. Do not enable translation for a younger child using this confirmation or allow it in calls with younger participants. Translation for younger children requires the service’s approved data-retention safeguards and any required parental consent. General acceptance of these terms does not verify age or enable translation.

Before switching translation on, obtain the other participant’s agreement to processing both people’s speech by OpenAI and playing the result in an AI-generated voice. Both participants hear an announcement before audio is sent for translation. Turn translation off if either person objects. AI translation can omit or change meaning; confirm important information with a person. It is not suitable for emergencies or decisions requiring a qualified interpreter.

Optional AI training permission

With separate, optional permission, eligible call and text data may be used to train, evaluate, and improve AI models. This permission is not a condition of purchasing or using Holler’d, making calls, or enabling translation. Accepting these terms alone does not grant it. The parent dashboard provides an unchecked, separate training preference shared by the family.

Training collection is currently disabled. Saving a preference does not start recording, exporting, or training on family conversations. Before collection starts, Holler’d will identify the eligible data, training purposes, recipients, retention period, and available deletion choices, and obtain any additional required consent. A parent cannot authorize use of another participant’s data on that participant’s behalf. Where required, we will obtain verifiable parental consent for children and separate consent for disclosures unrelated to providing the service.

You may withdraw permission through Call options or support. Withdrawal stops any future collection or sharing covered by that permission. The notice provided before collection will explain deletion options and the limits of removing the influence of data already incorporated into a trained model. Messaging is coming soon; no child messaging training collection is active.

Responsible use

Do not use the service for harassment, fraud, unsolicited marketing, illegal content, automated bulk messaging, or bypassing access controls. The service may limit repeated calls or messages to prevent abuse. Child texting is available only when the carrier approves the applicable messaging program.

SMS consent

By requesting a sign-in code, you request that verification text. Parent account and caller-approval notifications require consent. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop notification texts and HELP for help. Marketing messages are not part of this service.
